Delete Your Account
You can delete your AuraHome account at any time. Deletion is irreversible and permanently removes the data listed below.
1. From inside the app (fastest)
- Open the AuraHome app.
- Go to Settings → Delete my account.
- Read the warning and tap Delete.
Your account is deactivated immediately and all sessions are signed out.
2. If you uninstalled the app or can’t sign in
Send your deletion request by email:
- To: support@aurahome.design
- Subject: Account deletion request
- Body: the email address your account is registered with. Sending the request from the address linked to your account is enough to verify it.
We delete the account within 30 days of receiving the request and send a confirmation email.
3. What is deleted
- Your profile data (email, name, username, bio) — permanently removed
- Your password hash, sign-in identities and every session key
- All room photos you uploaded and the designs generated from them — removed from storage
- Your taste profile (Aura quiz answers)
- Push tokens and device registrations
- Remaining room allowance (no cash refund)
4. What happens to your community posts
The moment your account is deleted, your community posts stop appearing anywhere in the app: not in the discover feed, not in search, not on profiles, not in saved lists and not on collection covers. A single visibility rule enforces this — a post whose author deleted their account is never listed by any endpoint. The images behind your posts are removed from storage within 30 days, together with the rest of your media.
Your likes, saves/collections and follows drop out of every list at the same moment and can no longer be linked to you. The account row itself is not dropped outright, because the room-allowance ledger (an append-only accounting record) and the generated designs reference it — but no personal data is left in it: email, name, username, bio and password are permanently removed.
5. What we keep, and why
The following minimal records are retained with personal identifiers removed:
- Subscription and purchase records (financial audit trail, for the statutory period)
- Room-allowance usage history (audit trail)
- Timestamp of the deletion request
- Moderation decisions — the approve/reject verdicts and reasons recorded for your submissions
- Report and block records — reports about you and reports you filed, plus block relationships
Moderation, report and block records are kept to prevent abuse: without them we could not stop an account terminated for breaking the rules from deleting itself, signing up again and continuing the same behaviour. These records cannot be linked back to you.
6. Subscription
Deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription automatically. To stop renewals, also cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
